The innovative water-treatment ("water-jet") enables the production of a cotton tape of the highest quality, with consistent dimension and weight that is resistant, soft, puffy, and moreover without "hair". Turati idrofilo has developed a leading gathering system and, thanks to it, we are able to supply cotton bales of about 150/160 Kg (330/350 lb) in a single and extremely long tape. Depending on the width and on the weight in grams per square meter of the tape you will get from 1000 to 20000 continuous meters of cotton (0,62 to 12,5 mi), ready for use in your packaging machines.
	"why is it better to buy cotton in bales instead of in rolls 350-400 meters (0,20-0,25 mi) long?": UNINTERRUPTED PRODUCTION FOR A WHOLE WORK SHIFT: With a cotton tape of 195 mm (7,677 in) and 200 gsm you will get about 4000 continuous meters (2,48 mi) of cotton per bale, that means an increase of about 15% productivity in comparison with rolls, and time saved in the uninterrupted operation. GREATER QUANTITY FORWARDED AND LESS SPACE TAKEN UP IN WAREHOUSE: In a 40 foot "high cube" container or on a lorry of 13,60 meters, it is possible to load about 3800 Kg (8370 lb) of rolls and twice as many bales.
